I feel very privileged to have been given the opportunity to lead Putnoe Primary School, in the role of Acting Head Teacher, during Mrs Peck’s absence.
As a community, we have successfully navigated through one of the most difficult periods that I have known in my teaching career. The school’s value system, inclusive nature and our shared community spirit has underpinned this journey.
Despite the challenges we have faced, the staff team has remained focused and driven to help the children adjust to being back in school and to make accelerated progress. Our warm and friendly ethos has enabled children to feel cared for and supported at every step. I am immensely proud of the entire staff team and the contributions they have all made.
At Putnoe, we have always taken great pride in our passion for providing the opportunities our children need to prosper, making sure they find out about themselves and explore the numerous cultural avenues that will empower them to find out exactly where their interests lie.
The Arts serve as a wonderful vehicle for this, creating powerful and life-enhancing opportunities for creative thinking. They bring pleasure, participation, self-expression and essential skills into our children’s lives.
Keeping the children safe and supporting their learning are our key priorities in school. We are working tirelessly to narrow any gaps that developed during the COVID period. We are also committed to continuing to deliver a broad, balanced and engaging curriculum to inspire and challenge their thinking.
Our website offers a wealth of useful information. It is never a substitute, however, for making direct contact with us or seeing the school in action. If you are a prospective parent, we would be happy to offer you a personalised virtual tour of the school so you can soak up the wonderful atmosphere, experienced daily, by the children.
If you cannot find the information you are looking for, please contact the school using the enquiry form, by e-mail or directly by phone. We would love to hear from you.
