Aiming High Learning for Life

January 2023: Beak Investigation

As part of their science learning on evolution, Year 6 children took part in an investigation to explore how the beak of a finch evolved differently depending on which of the Galápagos Islands they inhabited.  Using resources - such as pegs and tweezers - they attempted to 'eat' different foods to explore how these adaptations were linked to the types of plants that grow on the islands.
